Friends of EDC Fire Safe Council

Like many, EDCFSC is not holding public meetings due to the Covid-19 pandemic and gathering protocols.
However, we did want to let you know that our work continues as we meet remotely either as a board or in small dedicated teams to continue our mission of keeping El Dorado County, its communities and its residents safer from catastrophic wildfire.
While understanding Covid-19 is present in everyone’s mind, we also know fire season is coming.
We are writing today to let you know our activities continue and to remind everyone that now is the time to be doing your defensible space, hardening your homes against wildfire embers and working with your neighbors and in your communities to take action to be fire safe. “You don't have to live in a concrete block home with stainless steel doors and a metal deck all the way around it. You just have to remember - it's the little things that count” says Dr. Jack Cohen
